Touch Screen
- One of the hallmarks of the Auto Sentry Flex is our touch screen. Our ATM grade touch screen has been specially designed with a filter that reduces glare, and reflects heat.
  
  Our unique technology allows for reliable “touches” even with water or other debris on the screen, and even with a gloved hand.
  
  Some manufacturers choose to save money on the front end by simply using a “Panel PC”; which is a touch screen, display and motherboard integrated into one unit. ICS has chosen to break these parts out so that if one component fails, you only have to replace one component; not three. Plus, it lets us continually search for the highest quality, individually components.
Display
- The most critical factor in choosing a display is reliability. The 15”, sunlight readable display that ICS utilizes reflects light back through the front of the display, and will not black out under even the harshest conditions.
  
  To prolong its life expectancy, we operate the backlight at 93% of capacity, and dim it to 25% between transactions.

Bill Acceptor
- We use only MARS bill acceptors which provide the highest level of outdoor performance.
  
  The acceptor utilizes a cassette which holds 1000 bills, and is easily removed and replaced for convenience and safety.
  
  Allowing bills to be inserted and accepted in any direction makes for shorter transaction times.
  
  The process of “up-stacking” bills keeps electronics at the top where they cannot be affected by standing water from driving rain.
Credit Card Reader
- Our credit card reader is a totally sealed unit that features 2 redundant read heads. This means that it will read a card stripe up in either direction; allowing for quicker transaction times and a back up in the unlikely event that one of the read heads fails.
Coin Acceptor
- ICS uses IDX X-10 coin acceptors.
  
  We can recognize up to 6 coins and/or tokens in varying combinations.

When we redesigned the Auto Sentry enclosure, we incorporated lessons learned from the thousands of units that we had in the field, from our experience as carwash operators, and input from our loyal customer base.

We compiled that with contributions from an ergonomic consulting firm, and the result is the most comprehensive outdoor kiosk in any industry.
- At its core is a ¼-inch of powder coated steel; the base of which is a safe
- The doors are secured by ½-inch stainless steel bolts that thread into a ½” steel plate
- Every door is gasketed and each lock has bushings that ensure correct compression on those gaskets
- To ensure security, we eliminated pry points, and installed sensors on all doors
- The Rear-Load design prevents multiple points of failure by protecting electronics from outdoor elements, eliminating repetitive movement of components, and reducing cable wear across hinges
- The steel cage is protected by a thick covering of UV protected plastic that looks great and is available in multiple colors
- A 4” stainless steel skirt around the bottom of the unit prevents scarring and damage to the plastic from push-brooms and shovels.
- To protect your customer’s vehicles, the printer chute and coin cup have been recessed to avoid mirrors.

Industrial Single Board Computer
- Single Board Computers (SBC’s) are complete computers that are built on a single circuit board. While SBC’s are typically more expensive, ICS has chosen them due to their reliability, and their ability to operate in a wider range of temperatures.
  
  We program our SBC’s with our own BIOS so that they automatically reset to our settings.
  
  We use a commercial grade, industrial SBC that has built in safety features like watchdog timers that automatically restart the computer if a function takes longer than specified and an internal thermometer that will automatically shut the unit down if it is operating outside of a specific temperature range.
PIO (Input / Output) board
- Our PIO boards are manufactured exclusively for ICS.
  
  They are field terminable IO boards that can support multiple outputs that can control device activation, fire outputs, or remote alarms.
  
  Our boards are electrically isolated from possible power surges of outside devices and have built-in short circuit protection.
Power Supply
- To regulate and condition all of the power inside the unit, we utilize a specially made power supply. This rugged, industrial grade, All – in – One power supply protects incoming voltage with individual circuit breakers, and will automatically shut down if it detects a spike in voltage.

Bill Dispensers

To meet the budget requirements of our clients, ICS offers bill dispensers in three levels: consumer, retail, and ATM grade. While there are differences in the three levels, a few minimum requirements remain constant throughout. They include:

Cassette based dispensing – ICS will only use dispensers that have cassettes. Attempting to fill bill dispensers in the field is inconvenient, time consuming, and unsafe. Our bill dispenser cassettes are easily filled in the privacy and safety of a carwash office.
Long edge dispensing – Go to any ATM or professional cash dispensing machine, and the bills are dispensed long edge first. The same is said for any ICS machine. Short edge first dispensers are more prone to bill jams due to a bill’s inherent lack of rigidity lengthwise.
Maintenance – If utilizing one of our dispensers that require periodic maintenance, all cleaning and calibration points are easily accessible on site. Units do not need to be shipped back to ICS or their manufacturer for cleaning or calibration.

Receipt Printer

We have selected a completely modular receipt printer to lower replacement costs, and ease in replacement of faulty parts. It features a patented cutting design that eliminates paper jams if the receipt is torn while it is printing. Its 3 piece assembly includes:
- The circuit board and all moving parts – Removable with only 2 screws
- Paper chute – Specifically designed not to damage vehicles that pull too close to the unit.
- Chassis – Easily removed with 2 bolts.

Coin Hopper

Our high capacity, high speed coin hopper combines reliable service with multiple uses. Some use the hopper with dollar coins as a back-up to or in place of a bill dispenser. While others use them to dispense tokens for free vacuums or other vending items. The Auto Sentry can accommodate up to 3 coin dispensers with multiple token and coin combinations.

Corrosion of electrical components in outdoor environments has become a significant factor due to the intricate systems that have been developed and the constant demand on their reliability. Technological advances have brought about sophisticated components with closer spacing so that even extremely low levels of corrosive contaminants can cause failure.

The design of the internal components as well as the environment in which they operate are important because failures in printed circuit boards, integrated circuits, and other components have been known to occur even in extremely low levels of moisture and contaminants.

We have taken aggressive steps to combat these contaminants and regulate both temperature and humidity by utilizing an Air to Air heat exchanger, and sealing all doors and openings with a thick neoprene, high memory gasket material. This allows for environmental regulation without the intake of any dirty, outside air.

Full Service Flex Service Express Exterior

BENEFITS
- One of the benefits to utilizing an Auto Sentry at a full service wash is multiple service offerings. Offering your customers the choice of an “Exterior Only” wash can increase volume without the need for additional labor. Utilizing an Auto Sentry in an Exterior Only lane also allows for extended hours of operation; before and after normal business hours with minimal labor requirement.
SMART STACK TECHNOLOGY
- ICS Smart Stack Technology gives you complete control of vehicle flow into the wash tunnel; regardless of how many lanes you have. For a Full Service wash with an exterior lane, the system automatically stacks exterior washes sold at the Auto Sentry, but does not stack the full service washes. So, a customer that purchases an exterior only wash at the Auto Sentry simply drives onto the conveyor to receive the wash they purchased.
  
  For a full service vehicle, once the vacuuming is complete the drive-on attendant drives onto the conveyor. There the attendant scans a bar-coded ticket at the input terminal; which automatically inserts that wash into the existing vehicle stack. And to keep your drive-on attendant from waiting in line, the system automatically holds the “Exterior Only” customer at the gate if there are full service vehicles ready to enter the tunnel.

TIME SENSITIVE PROFILES
- One of the keys to success at flex service wash is multiple service offerings. Offering your customers the choice of “Exterior Only”, “Full Service” packages, and even “Express Detail” provides something for everyone.
  
  The Auto Sentry Flex takes this one step further. With our industry-exclusive Time Sensitive Profiles, you can program the Auto Sentry Flex to offer “Exterior Only” wash services from 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM. This requires only one or two employees to operate while you attract customers on their way to work.
  
  At 8:00, you have scheduled a few additional production employees and the Auto Sentry automatically begins offering your labor based services.
  
  Once your full crew has arrived at 9:00, the Auto Sentry offers your full array of Full Service and Express Detail services.
  
  At 6:00 PM the system switches back to “Exterior Only” and you continue to wash vehicles while the remaining employees clean the wash, and prepare for the following day.>
  
  Of course, you can set up different programs for Saturdays and Sundays, and even save “Rainy Day” profiles that might offer discounts on interior services.
  
  If you are taking advantage of our Fundraising tools, charities are activated and de-activated with the click of a button. In the unfortunate event that some of your key employees have not shown up for work, you can change the profiles “on the fly” to only offer “Exterior Only” washes until you get caught up.
  
  Lastly, you can prepare all of your holiday promotions ahead of time.
  
  All of your customized videos, background screens, and audio are saved internally and easily activated.
