Fuel Pump Interface
Another way that ICS helps you increase volume at your wash is through the ability to sell carwashes at the gas pump. Whether on the carwash property itself, at a station next door, or across town,
ICS has three fuel interface options to meet your needs:
- Wired- A wired system is directly connected from the Tunnel Master server to the fuel pump POS.
-
Extended Distance - The extended distance interface is wired from the Tunnel Master server through a communication box on both ends.
- Remote- The remote interface is connected from an ICS computer at the fuel site, through a secure virtual
private network (VPN) over the internet to the Tunnel Master Server.
Our interfaces communicate with almost every major fuel pump POS system.
Here’s How it Works:
When the customer activates the pump, they are offered multiple wash choices. If
they choose, they can pay with credit card at the pump, or inside at the
cashier. A code is generated by the Tunnel Master
system for that wash package and is printed on the fuel receipt.
This code can be programmed with a user defined expiration date. This code is
then entered at either an Auto Sentry Flex,
Auto Sentry Petro, or given to a
cashier at the wash. When entered into an Auto Sentry, you have an additional
opportunity to offer additional services in a package upgrade or a-la-carte.
Our experience has shown that selling carwash services at the pump not only increases volume at the carwash, it also increases volume at the gas station. Customers appreciate the convenience of being
able to make both purchases at one time, and the two profit centers share their customer base.
